As far as I know the 3 major differences between these boards, is:
1) the fata1ity has active cooling on the rear of the motherboard, by the I/O panel for cooling the chipsets (by the rear chipset heatpipe heatsink).
2) The non fata1ity has a SIL 3132 SATA RAID controller additional.
3) The non fata1ity has an eSATA port on the I/O panel.
In my opinion, the non fata1ity is the better board. In thoery, they should perform identical, but perhaps the fata1ity could OC better, because of the active cooling assisting the heatpipe. Anyhow, I've been personally considering the non fata1ity, just_because of the additional RAID controller. This teamed up with the onboard SIL 3132 controller, means you could theoreticly have an external eSATA array (using a SATA port multiplier) capable of waxing the floor with any other external enclosure (within reason, obviously a SCSI fibre array is going to give it a run for the money, but at a much higher cost). With port multiplier technology, its possible to max a single SATAII connection which equates to around 384MB/s, THAT my friend, is pretty remarkable.
