between these two boards, as I'm thinking either 3000+ or 3200+ venice, as well as x2 forward compatibility.
From my current setup I'd probably only be keeping the Kingston HyperX PC4000 ram (2x512mb)
The Abit comes in at about $132 and the DFI at $189, so I'm wondering why it is justified to spend the extra $57 US.
Any other choices here? I don't NEED SLI, I know that would save me a lot of money, but I think it would be cheaper to get one 6600GT now and then another in the future than get a 6600GT now and have to sell it and upgrade in the future. I don't play a ton of highly demanding games anyway.
Also, I have just ordered a Thermaltake XP-120 so I'd like to be able to use that if possible.
I'm hoping to sell my stuff: p4 2.4 prescott, abit is7-e and gf4 ti4200 and get as close to $200 as possible to cut down the cost of this upgrade, so cost IS important to me.
