Good board, passive Northbridge cooling, overclocks well.

ABIT AN8
$102. ABIT has always been (at least recently) premium overclocking gear. You can tell this right away by the active MOSFET cooling that comes with this board. I think about 3 months ago this board was $140, but now it's at an incredible price. Doesn't come with SATA II or Active Armor. Note the absense of Paralell ports (if that matters to you, in 2005). Great overclocker (you can get some good voltage running through your RAM)

ABIT AN8 Ultra v2.0
$118. Version 2.0 = Passive cooling. For ye who hates noise this is an excellent overclocker's board. Decent alternative to the DFI ($5 less) if you're looking for passive cooling.

If you need SLI:

ABIT AN8 SLI v2.0
$132. Here you go. SLI + passive cooling.

Note: There?s a $35 off mail-in rebate on Newegg, bringing the price down to $97!

i've been reading really good reviews about this board

i want to try it out, but i already have a DFI, so i'm not sure if i want to spring for $100 board to satisfy my curiousity

I have the Abit AN8 Ultra. Great board, a bit pick about which RAM it likes but other than that, i've had no problems with it. Haven't tried any OCing yet either.
