Here is a good review highlighting the differences

The AN7 basically has the u-guru chip added, colour coded connectors, quite a few components on the mobo moved around, andf a EPoX-style debug LED connector added onto the board.

Browse the forums at AMDMB too - I've read rumors of some bugs with the AN7, and that it was rushed to market before it was ready. The 2.0 NF7-S is a good board; even the 1.2 works fine, but I don't think that it has official 400FSB support.

Ive heard very little positive input as regards to the AN7, mainly highlighting what Jeff7 mentioned briefly. My NF7-S Rev 2.0 is a very nice board, only things holding back my new mobile barton are my ears (dont like loud fans) and my wallet.

Do a little search on these forums on the NF7-S and you should find quite a lot of useful information.

The AN7 is a great board and is virtually identical to the NF7-S, save for some minor component relayout and uGuru.
