ABIT an52 cmos checksum error

Just got one from frys and put the x2 6400.
Showing me cmos checksum error.
Battery should be new as the board is new. I tried removing all components, clear cmos severa time, load optimized defaults, load fail-safe, none helped.
Also the memory is OCZ 2X1GB DR2 800.
Is the board bad?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't assume that just b/c the board is new you don't have a bad battery. It happens. They're cheap so I'd replace it and see if that fixes it.

Also, what PSU are you currently using?

1st POST after a clearCMOS you'll probably get that but it should go after loading optimised defaults, save & exiting.
What voltage have you got your RAM at?

You might also want to investigate if your board is on the latest BIOS.

Battery replacement didn't help.
Tried new Antec 500w , no help.
Changed baord to ECS(Junky) put memories into DIMM1 and DIMM3
and 'Load optimized defaults' , it worked.

I am very confused, I didn't want to use ECS baord, I still want to use ABIT one.
Could please guys, help me?
Thanks a lot for the help in advance.
