Abercrombie & Fitch cutting back on logos

Why does this strike me as so amusing?

Now that their clothes have fallen out of fashion with their target market, they will be selling almost no clothing with prominent A&F logos in their US stores, which was their hallmark up until now.

Will this make fashion-conscious teens run out and buy new A&F non-logoed stuff, or will they ditch the brand altogether (which it appears many have already done). Ten consecutive quarters of lower same-store sales.

I thought they were the number one brand for homeless people? I didn't realize sales were declining, maybe our homeless problem is getting better? So, yay!

May as well go to the Gap then... Or around the same and get higher quality with Banana Republic.

Isn't Aeropostale the new hipster brand to buy?

Not that I give a damn... I'm old now :)

When I was in highschool, I'm pretty sure Gap was the poor man's Abercrombie (or whatever other 'high end' preppy brands there were). And Aeropostale was the poor man's Gap.

It's generally hard to keep with whose name it's 'cool' to have on your clothes. But it's never really been anything inexpensive. Unless maybe I'm just out of the loop and Aeropostale has made their stuff outrageously expensive to become 'cool.'

It's hilarious how highschool fails to teach kids about the real world. A lot of us can't have logos on any clothing at work, not even the polo guy on polo shirts.

How are we supposed to spot frat-boy douche bags now?

RL Polo shirts.....especially the ones sporting a giant horse.

That was popular with my daughter when she was in middle school. That, and hollister. Hollister's stuff is absolute garbage. All it takes is a gimmick, and luck to sell to kids :^S

Abercrombie & Fitch suck! I bought a pair of those cargo pants that unzip for shorts and the ass got a hole in them. I have bought clothes from Walmart FFS that NEVER did that.

I'm in bed with the phone, and don't have a pic of her on here, but here's one of my cat. She's very soft, but doesn't do snapchat.

Nice looking Kittah.

I grew up buying my own jeans, clothes in general, usually Wrangler boot cuts.

I still have some around when I wear em these days.

Though have a few suits and things that rarely get worn I guess.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they have all different cuts/styles.

I just browsed a majority of their mens tops, and I am incredibly unimpressed.
Is this modern style these days? That looks like nothing but hipster flair. :(

I always wore a mix of band shirts and stuff from the "prep" stores, plus some active gear and generic t-shirts.
I've tried to work in some more general business-casual-but-I-wear-it-whenever into my wardrobe, and that's been hit and miss. I haven't wanted to make that leap fully; I like the dressed down approach, sopmetimes t-shirts and I still rock some older AE and Hollister polos--that desperately need replacing--with casual shorts and tennis shoes.

I've stepped into AE stores and whatnot in some recent times and have been thoroughly unimpressed. I've got a pair or two of their jeans that have been exceptional, but hunting for the fit that isn't hipster skinny is ridiculous. Even Levi is nothing but hipster skinny - I like my non-skinny bootcut, so hard to find anymore.
It looks like the pants at that Uniqlo are no exception to that new standard either.

The basic t-shirts I might like, and I do want to try the one polo to see the fit and material, but just about everything else is awful.

I feel old when I utter "whatever happened to...". And I'm only 27. Y'all youngin's are wearing some godawful stuff. :p
