Abercrombie cargo pants sale

Because anandtech forums updated their forums, there is a thread here somewhere to talk about the problems and frustrations called Hot Dealers.

WYTE PRYDE, BEESH!

EDIT: BTW.. M/L??? How the fvck do you know what size to get? I mean.. they might as well sell the size according to color.. or better yet, liberal education grading terms.. Large pants are 'exploratory' pants.. Medium pants are 'developing' pants. Small pants are 'learning' pants. I mean.. WTF. Stupid white people.

they had a couple of shirts printed back 2 years ago that were racist upon how u looked at it

some might think it was just a joke and funny to wear, but the group that was targeted didn't seem to think it was funny at all...

so that's why some people refer to abercrombie as a racist organization and swear never to buy their clothes.

They do a lot of questionable things. Like printing a Hindu God onto a pair of sandals despite feet being considered unclean and touching sacred things with them very disrespectful in said religion.

you might want to tell that to them honkie dudes and dudettes. you'll be surprise how many of them keep purchasing their products, even after the boycott. my family originated from asia, but i did not find those shirts a couple years ago to be racist. don't be giving me history about how asian built railroads in america and crap, because that was the past. if you want things to change, focus on the future. i can go on, but i do not want to write a book.

i saw dragon on either WGN or TBS superstation today (i forgot, i was programming while i was watching), and wondered why can't we all think like bruce lee! we are americans for goodness sake! can't we all just get along already? do not segregate! support one race: human! if we do not stick together, the aliens have won.

Let the flaming begin!

I hope they fire their gay marketing director so I don't have to put up with naked guys on their catalogues, web sites etc. It's getting kinda annoying. Their merchandise is fine though.

I completely agree with you! Seriously, if you're looking for it you could find offense in just about anything. If all you do is look for the negative, you deserve the frustrated, stress-filled life you probably have. Relax. Don't get so worked up or take things TOO seriously. Try living instead of bitching. If you see something you don't like, DON'T LOOK AT IT ASSMUNCH! There's nothing wrong with being different - it keeps life interesting I think. But people have to learn to agree to disagree and move on. OK, I'm done. Who wants the soapbox now?

I'll back you up on this. I think a big deal was made of something that was a little silly. The t-shirt had a mock Chinese dry cleaner advertisement on it, right? Is that SO bizzarre? Is it so much worse than the stuff we see on Seinfeld episodes?

If we can't laugh at ourselves, blah, blah, blah.

Right on. People do need to stop b*tching and moaning. I got a pair of them this weekend in san diego and it's most inexpensive piece of clothing I've ever purchased from AF. HOT.

Abercrombie just needs to be fair, that's all. If they're going to mock people, mock everyone equally. Yeah, introduce a "white trash" line of "wife-beater" t-shirts, trailer loungewear and "shiat-kicker" boots, with such slogans as, "Open season on relatives". Don't forget the inner city "gangsta"-wear to capture the "ghetto" look, maybe some kind of "Crips vs. Bloods" themes or something with pre-made bullet holes and bloodstains to simulate that "post drive-by feeling". And just so they could get another shot in, introduce a line of clothing to mock Latinos (who incidentally are the fastest growing minority population in the US), maybe with some taco t-shirts or "I no speaka ingles" prints or something. Yeah, those will all fly big time with everyone.

Whatever. Oh, and to the genius who mentioned that all their salespeople speak English - wake up. If we (meaning Americans, regardless of racial affiliation) are truly to enter the global arena/marketplace, would it hurt us to broaden our horizons and speak other languages. Most Europeans speak at least 2, if not more. If we really want to get involved with the rest of the world, other than trying to save a few bucks by outsourcing, maybe we should try understanding different points of view. Being a optimistic person, I don't think that most people are racists, just racially ignorant. Which thus leads to the insensitive, mildly offensive things that get printed on t-shirts or published in magazine articles. People just don't know any better, and then are surprised by the uproar.

Then again, there are people who just get their panties in a twist over anything and everything. Some people need to be a little "less sensitive". Some of the funniest things are going to be offensive to someone somewhere, unfortunately.

Sarcasm and soapbox aside, these cargoes look like hell. Did they beat them to death before selling them, or is that just the fashion? 🙂 Old Navy's got some similar stuff, similarly priced here:

Old Navy

But generally, Old Navy pants are only good for a year or so of moderate wear and tear, and then start to fray. I would think the quality on the Abercrombie's are better, but it's tough to tell without going to the store. And like I said, they look like hell. 😛 But for $20, a potentially great deal zoiks, especially since Ab's markup is considerably more than Old Navy's. Nice find.

EDITED: For content (HA!) and spelling.

old navy quality sucks in my opinion. stuff from there usually falls apart in less than 6 months of use for me, I've had some abercrombie shorts for 3+ years now and they are still going strong.
