ABC shows to download

Hi,

I know that I am little bit off topic but don´t shoot....I´m new here 🙂
I am looking for a software that will record ABC shows, absolutely love all the shows from the ABC guys: revenge, scandal, castle, family feud...the problem is that I don´t have the time to watch live and sometimes the episodes are also taken off the website after a while.
Can you recommend a software that will record ABC shows so that I can have them for offline viewing, even after they are taken down from the website?

Yes, there's plenty of software to do just that. Uverse, DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Verizon.... Or you can just hook an OTA antenna up to a recorder. Winning!

This is what I do. I purchased a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955q and use Windows Media Center to record OTA shows. Works perfectly on my 8.1 setup.

If you've moved on to Win10 you will have to use another program for recording. I'm not too familiar with them but I see people mention Kodi a lot.

Hello,

For such video downloads Audials has Moviebox - downloads and converts all kinds of videos
Ace is also good

Hi,

Thanks guys 🙂
I don´t have Windows 10 yet. I checked out this Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955q and I don´t quite understand how it works, is it not only for TV?
Audials Moviebox but the license is not free. Is the license a life time license? Or how does it work?

The Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955q is for a computer, and comes with the software you need to record your favorite shows off cable. Just plug in the software and set aside an hour or less to learn the basics. It is probably the simplest way to do what you are asking.

Audials Moviebox is neat, but it only downloads what is already available on the Internet. Most networks that post shows online don't post their latest, so this also may be a viable option as long as you want the show, but aren't too picky about when you get it.

Moviebox is an application that you pay for and then, from time to time (usually once a year) you´ll have to upgrade to the next version paying a discount price.
It records from all kinds of websites with video streaming or video on demand.
It converts to known file formats and also can sync and transfer to your mobile devices.
Take a look at their description on how it works: http://audials.com/en/how_to_record_stream_capture_music_videos_movies_from/abc.html
When playing a movie, video from websites like ABC on your screen, the software will record and save it to your drive - that is basically how it works.

Yeah that's how it's suppose to work but it rarely does. I purchased a copy of Audials One 12 and while it's a decent piece of software there are two things that rarely work well.

1. The converter
2. The stream down loader/screen capture

Honestly I feel like I paid $60 for an internet radio program.

EDIT:Also their customer service sucks. It can take weeks to get a reply through email and that's if you're lucky. Most the time they don't even respond. The "help" forum and I use that term loosely is just as bad. No one from the Audials team ever responds to questions there either.
