Yeah, I read about that last night. No one had a screenshot at that time and ABC had already taken down their request. I see someone who saw the original saved it - Why am I not surprised.

Well, someone would have to be pretty pathetic to fake an ABCNews page that poorly. So that's some kind of proof, it's more than what CD and DU can produce.

Yeah, call them liars if you wish, but I think the link to the saved page pretty much says all that needs to be said. I'm sure ABC will blame it on some intern who was supposed to send it as a memo instead of posting it on the web...or some other lame half-assed excuse.

This was a cheap attempt to make Bush look bad.
And yes, I'd say the same thing if it were a Democrat in office. It's just cheap.
I went to the funeral of a Marine killed by a sniper in Baghdad a while back. The family printed out media flyers to give to any news crews approaching the cemetary. On the flyer was a plea from the mother asking them not to tape the funeral. They read it and threw them away. The local sheriff showed up and told them they werent allowed on private property without permission (both the funeral director and the local residents told the media to fvck off), so the news crews parked in the street, stood on top of thier vans, and used telescopic lenses to tape the funeral anyways. They had other cameras trained on the sheriffs at the gates as well as all the uniformed Marines at the gate, "just in case", they have no shame.
Edit: doesnt it seem like a double standard? everyone was all up in arms when the Bush campaign used images from 9/11, saying it "offended" the victims families. Does the rule not apply the other way around?

How many soldiers were killed in Afghanistan in the last few days who would have had a funeral scheduled for yesterday? Or, are you saying Afghanistan is just as dangerous as Iraq and we're losing soldiers every day there?
