I wonder what else they consider "educational"? Scooby Doo? The Flintstones? What?

it is all politics. The gov passed some laws a few years back requiring the broadcast netwroks to air a certian number of hours of 'educational programing' a week. And what passes for sat morning cartoons is part of it.

Yep, they tried that a loooong time ago with "The Jetsons" as educating kids as to what life in the future would be like.
