anyone ever visted one? I'm going to one in mangum,ok probably this sunday and was wondering if anyone wanted to go. It's really neat, and they're filling them up so you might lose your chance... Mangum is close to Altus AFB and Ft.Sill/Lawton in Southwestern Oklahoma btw..

Spent a few years of my life working in them (Minutman Silos) and conducted quite a few tours on Base Open house days for the brave souls who would ride the Blue Goose 40 miles for the experience so I really have no desire to tour and be told lies by the guides. Would be a great thing to see if you had never been in one though.

I was really upset when they decommissioned them as I felt I had wasted all that sweat and agony. Didnt feel bad that the missiles were gone but that they destroyed the facilities thus preventing any future use, military or civilian. If anyone thinks that NUCLEAR disarmament is the way to go, I agree but I dont think ANY country can be trusted, ours included. Any body think we have seen the last of SADDAM (SODAMN INSANE) Hussein????

We all had plans if we could own one of them how we would set it up to live in. For sure all had pools in the center. HeeHee.
