Anyone have experience with these and are the cheapos on ebay just as good as the expensive ones?

I'm looking to be able to do guided situps in front of the TV. Comfort and convenience matter to me (in other words, I know I can go do situps on the concrete, that's not what I am looking for).

No experience with that one, but using a $10, no-brand one. Pretty much the same thing; I can't see how to justify that price. Nice, but absolutely surperfluous. I use it occasionally, but just because it's there. With experience you will know when your posture is correct. I'd get a good mat and maybe an exercise ball, or a captain's chair.

I don't see how anyone could pay $230 for an ab machine...that's just craziness. I'm sure you could find a $15 version that'll do the exact same thing.

I've used them before, and while they do work, you can get just as good of an exercise with enough practice at situps and leg lifts.

Those little wheel things work decently, too, but they're pretty tough on your lower back.
