TIAA-KREF?
Say wha?

Sorry...TIAA-CREF (http://www.tiaa-cref.org)is what many hospitals and other non-profit organizations use for their retirement plans. The matching of your wife's was similar to my wifes. Your wife works in health care as does mine so I made an assumption that she had the same retirement plan.
I've not heard of that ;) Your wife's matching is ludicrous! Still, I bet there are people she works with who don't take advantage of it. In fact, you could probably have a 400% match up to 10% of one's income and I bet there are still people who wouldn't do it.

Similar situation here dude...company used to be paying the same 50% on up to 6% of check...but just changed it for the new year to only 25%...but i'm not complaining...still a good return on investment. Not so good in your case. Sucks.

My company used to do 2%, then all of last year it was suspended. Just a few weeks ago, they started it again but at a 1% max. match. Better than nothing.

Well finished the meeting and here are the results.

Match 50% up to 4%

0-1- years 0% vested

1-2 years 25%

2-3 years 50%

3-4 years 75%

4-5 years 100%

They droppped the matching by 2% (or 33% depending how you look at it.)
