Anyone have more info about this codec? I want to take advantage of my iPods support of it and rip all of my cds to AAC but can't find a good PC based encoder.. There seems to be a lot of variations in quality and speed - anyone know a good ripper? EAC has like 6 different AAC codecs- what's a good one? I'm willing to pay for one but the quality seems hit or miss (my mac encodes AACs that sound awesome at 64kbs while the pc encoders that I've tried suck at 128kb.. My goal is to have good sounding files at @128 or less).
P.S. I don't want to start a AAC vs XXX flame feast.. I know that there are better codecs out there but my iPod only supports AAC or MP3...
