AAC+ codecs

I see this is the latest and greatest audio codec same quality half the bandwidth but windows player cannot play it yet. Will it be added soon...is it worth adding winamp for it?( I understand the latest winamp supports it)

Given that AAC is an Apple codec (they don't own it, but I think they've been 'improving' it), I could see why wmp doesn't support it. Just like iTunes and qt don't support wma and wmv. And it's not really all that new, it was apparently standardized in 1997.

Can't you add codecs to wmp manually though?
