Ok Ok, deep, relax,

first my system

MSI 6309 (original bios)
600E @ 806
256 of Crucial PC133
Diamond Viper550 TNT2 (not overclocked)
IBM 13.5
Maxtor 20.5
32x cdrom
8x4x32 Plextor IDE
blah,blah,blah

Anyway I can't run the new Dets (5.22) on my system, I got my hands on a peice of software that requires the newest drivers but I can't get them to run. I have tried all the 4 in 1 back to via4.17 and still a no go and yes I've tried the new agp driver from VIA that wasn't included with the via4.22 drivers. I have to revert back to the 3.68Dets drivers just to type this because the 5.22's really mess up my desktop ( vetical and horizontal lines everywhere) and when I try to run a game as soon as the game window opens the TNT2 quits sending a signal to my moniter (amber light) and I have to reboot to get my desktop back.

please HELP.

Sorry, looks like a mess to me. I don't know the answer to your problems, but I do have a question. To my understanding the Diamond V550 is a TNT chipset video card, not a TNT2 chipset. I'm quite sure of this. Perhaps you accidently missconfig'd a setting when installing the drivers?
By the way, if anything in the above insults you I'm sorry (nothing is ment to). I'm just gasping for straws with this question.

First, a V550 is a TNT not a TNT2. Second, I don't know why you expect that latest driver to work with the oldest BIOS. 5.22 works with my V770 (a TNT2) with the 1.5 BIOS (although I did lose AGP4). However, there is no discerable benifit to 5.22 over 3.68 with a TNT or TNT2 in 98.
