AAARRGGHH!!! Cell phone gets poor or no signal all the time. Do those "antenna booster" things work?

I'm on Nextel and I have the i730. I'm getting no signal at my home constantly, and its "iffy" everywhere else. I am thinking of trying out one of those antenna booster thingies, the kind that goes under the battery. Do they work? Is there anything else I can do to boost my signal?

I'm not sure what your phone looks like, but you can try an aftermarket retractable antenna. They look like the kind you put on a radio, a small one might not look that bad and might help reception. I recall reading those boosters do work, but not like a "5 foot antenna" like they advertise. You might get an extra bar in some areas.

A wire coat hanger works better and costs less.

:Q

yeah, that would go over well with the wifey when were out at dinner.

I ordered a long retractable metal antenna , if that doesn't work, I don't know what I'll do then.

I'll sell you one for 19.99

:p

Actually, they don't work... if they did, wouldn't they make the phone out of the same material?
