I need to figure out why I'm getting this error:
apache: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using <my ip address> for ServerName

I've asked on #apache, googled, and I still can't figure out what is wrong with my syntax in httpd.conf. I'm using one ServerName globablly and another one in a VirtualHost directive...

If anyone would be willing to help, I'd be very appreciative. entityat on AIM, or post here, please. Thanks!

For the regular (not Virtual Hosts) in the httpd.conf, I just have it as localhost...

For Virtual Hosts, I have it as mysubdomain.mine.nu: port (since I'm doing it by port, and it's a free redirect from the URL to my IP)

Good luck :)

wanna cut & paste your httpd.conf....it's gonna be hard to trouble shoot your syntax without seeing it ;)

What do you have as the

ServerAdmin e-mail address? I believe Apache will complain if it cannot resolve the MX record for the E-mail domain

if you still need help, if you can show me your httpd.conf, i can try and help you out
ive spent alot of time playing with apache

Make sure your ServerName in httpd.conf is valid in your DNS. If not add it to /etc/hosts.
