Well we got to experience new things and along with new things comes new light to those things.
So as i wish i could say this would be a short read ; i cannot lead you on for i havent anything short to say about the long night we just came through.
Went to asheville tonight just to see some friends and deliver the roof rack a little closer to bus's on the river.....
well the trip started off wet ,rainy stormy weather and fairly cool or cooler than has been.
We noticed the battery light was glowing red when it was on faintly along with the egr light.... did this yesterday but not like this and i found nothing today trouble shooting.....the bus..... ????????
we were on the road and half way there now so its either turn around or go ahead and make it....?
made it to asheville and spent some time with a friend there and then from there went on to aarons and kims to hang out a bit and visit with them as well as deliver the roof rack..........
on our way to aaron and kims the bus started to run a little less on power and chugging... lights were gettting dim and windshield wipers were slowing down.... we said a prayer and patted the dash and pretty much made it stilll running but something not right Question ...into aaron and kims yard....we came to a stop stil at a idle but something not feeling right... bad vibe coming from her,...... she wasnt feeling good and seemed down...? Question
i checked the battery once there and it was ok 13 volts showing at least...... and checked belt was tight and well just couldnt figure it? thought if the shift rod doesnt come off in my hand and the bus doesnt die we will just go home and i will work on it tomorrow with no rain and some light would be better....
ok so went to leave and turned key and lights (dash)came on but no start was dead......
aaron came out we jumped it off with cables and started right up and ran like a champ.... sat there and idled...........and so we left and got on the highway and my lights started fading and power started leaving the bus...
spun around on the exit ramp and headed back to the house(aarons&kims) and got back on highway and up the hilll she died again...
so called aaron he came out and jumped bus off and again ran good for couple minutes and light s started fading again and well this time was able to barely coast to aarons house but did make it......barely
i was tired and it was dark and i said the hell with it....
lets just tow it home and work on it tomorrow shoot we got
a brand new membership 5 tows and its just wet nasty out why the hell not?
lets just use one and go home.... Wink
ok so call triple aaa; go through the chit chat of telling them 76 bus; address; what was wrong with it; and few other things but the one thing yes the one thing that should have and did get things to a diffrent level so to speak was that of how many people will be riding back me being honest and not trying to who doooo noone and well i guesss i just didnt know ;know better? Question
well of course there was my little girl and my wife and me all in the bus when it broke down correct so we all need to go with the bus back right ??cause yeah we all actually live in the same place as the bus right?

she automatically said sir i am sorry but we can only take two passengers back in the truck and i said well what about my little girl or third member of my family....? she says sir we are only allowed to take two riders back and i said
mam i got three people in my family that was in the bus that need to get home with the bus
she got rude and started quoteing the manual 2 me like i was some idiot or something and of course i told her that last thing she needed to be doing was quoting the manual to me..........in a situation where what i needed was ot get my family home along with our vehicle.....
sooooooo on and on she checked and came back and was plainly and obviously not understanding to the fact that i had a child a wife and myself that had to go back with the bus....
finally i had no choice but to tell her to just send the tow truck on......
but only after she made me question her sanity and my own first...... Twisted Evil
ok so the guy gets there hour later or more....? now and aaron and i approach him and first thing guy says is i can only take two passengers with me and only says this after first saying his name.
i told him my story and he was a very nice fellow and told me also how he understood and he had gotten strict orders on the call that there could only be two passengers and that he could be at risk if he took all of us.... along with his company,even if beck sat in my lap with the seat belt and alyssa had her own seat belt....
so the guy being a super duper cool says look get it figured out i will hang out here a bit thats best i can do for you and i had no choice to understand ....
this is this mans job on the line here i understood that but had to get this worked out or they were gonna charge me another tow if he left that was a charge,,,,,,,erggggg and back and back they shove me against a wall or more less back me into a corner or fence......
so aaron and i came up with why the hell dont we just send another tow truck to pick me up and use another one of my tows....?
right about this time this great plan came to hatch a dispatcher from triplee aaa calls me back and says high i'm judy and we were wondering if your vehicle had been picked up but had a incredibly terrible tone about her as if the other girl was sitting by her side maybe even was whom i kept hearing in the background.....? Question Rolling Eyes
i dont know but right now i am getting pretty sick to my stomach.....
so i tell her look how about this send another tow truck and take me back use another one of my tows and my daughter and wife will ride in the truck with the bus,.,.,.,.
she says to me Sir We tow vehicles not people
We can arrange for you some transporataion but it will be at customers cost not ours.... is this something that you would like to do Sir Question
I said look mam i got a broke down vehicle we were broke down on the highway we dont have any money and we need to get home with the tripleaaa that we bought and paid for tonight.
She said sir listen we tow vehicles not people........
She was being loud and not hollering but close enough to it......
She was plain not in control............of her emotions as her job would call for her to be in either way anyone should look at it....
in every way possible i could explain to her that there was no way we were being left behind on the highway and them taking off with the bus....
finally aaron or kim one says why dont you have them tow the Suburu outside thats broken....if they tow vehicles not people Question Question
surprised Shocked as i say this ,to the lady she repeats this Exclamation
She finally gets the truck on its way and once i know its in route i begin to question there system of regulations and just what i had signed and what kind of company this really was to leave me and my family stranded on the highway and no way home taking off with our bus in the rain we would stand and in my statements and questions she found her self lost in translation saying only
sir i am only a dispatcher you will have to talk to member relations about that i am only a dispatcher.
I ended the conversation with just hanging up it was useless the lady had no heart and wished only bad things for my family this eve and sent much struggle when some how some way they could have some how made ok for one person i mean even one little person over there overrated and
heartless regulations...........
So we were down to the tow trucks coming and wellp one was already back yep the first one that had gotten there .... he ran got some coffee and other guy was on his way.... almost home now....
so after placing the first call around 10 pm it is now almost 1 am or maybe after that??? i dont know... beck was sick from everything going on and alyssa was out of it in and out asleep and waking up........ kim tired got work tomorrow wishing for bed..... and aaron as well everyone drained from a situation that could have had so much more suitable circumstance for a family of only three not 10 or 12 or more but three people traveling together along a highway on a dark cool rainy night in a bus bothering no one just trying to see one more smile........have one more hug and find one more good time in a world that can caiter to such crap from lost such souls.......
the 2nd driver arrived and we were on our way .... the bus was loaded onto the 1st truck my daughter and wife loaded and oh yes triple aa they wore there seat belt........ then Wink we were off ...............
me in the second truck the other fellow good ole boy as well and well i wont comment on what either of the two had to say about the whole situation a family trying to get home.....but i tell you this they learned as much as i did tonight about tripleAaa even though triple aaa had them under a blanket for contracts etc.....

how come we all three traveling together couldnt get home tonight under two tows.....? and if the subaru hadnt been there of aaron and kims?????

oh yeah took two tow truck drivers out of bed to take us all and the bus back home betwen hours of 10 and 3am./..../.
they could have easily used the triple aaa tow to just get us all three home proabdly cheaper and still tow the bus and use only tow tows.... but there way solved more issues we see.....?
