I read it from one of the thread but can't find it any more. Somebody mentioned that u can get discounts by purchasing ur ticket from AAA. I called AAA san francisco branch today, I was told that they don't have that service. Can somebody confirm this?

At the rate that the theater is charging, we need all the discount that we can get.

thx

Never heard anything about theaters but works for most theme parks and tourist locations.

In the AAA mailing that they send out every couple months, it shows reduced rates for movies if you buy tickets through AAA. I'm looking at the June/July 2001 issue right now. Good thing someone mentioned it- This was in my recycle pile ;)

IMAX tickets are $5.50 for adults
Regal Cinema tickets are $5.25

BUT, these prices seem to be for the Spokane, WA area. Doesn't say if it applies to anywhere else.

Sucks for me. I live out of town. Only get into Spokane on the weekends (when AAA is usually closed :( )

Yes! AAA does offer movie ticket discounts...(athough it looks like not everywhere)(Alabama does)
My wife picks a pair up about once/month

The price is that of a matinee ticket...around $5...and the only stipulation is that you cant get these type of "discounts" on movies that have been out less than 2 weeks...

"Some" theaters also will say right up front.....NO COUPONS...

hope this helps...
