A8V quirks

I successfully built my system using Asus A8v deluxe, AMD 3500+, WD 36G raptor drive, 160GB seagate IDE. 2BG patriot ram, etc. Seems to run well, but there are quirks. Most annoying are the USB periferals...if I have a card in the CF reader, or if I have an external drive turned on, the system will not boot....I get a message to select proper boot drive. When I take card out and turn of external drives...it will boot fine. I am using the regular SATA connector and have installed current VIA drivers for the hard drive.

You might want to check the boot order in the bios to make sure that those types of devices are ignored.
