I am using the ide promise controller on the mob for my 3rd HD. My problem is that it will not show up. what settings do I need to change in the bios and possibly on the board? In ADVANCED in the bios I did set the "Operation Mode" to IDE mode.
 
I checked my devices and there is a problem. It says that my "WINXP PROMISE FAST TRACK 378 CONTROLLER" is not started. I've tried installing the driver for this with no success. I am sure I am doing something wrong. Sure would appreciate some help.

Got it!!!!! Wasn't paying attention and kept loading the SATA driver and not the IDE. Working like a charm

Asus A8V Deluxe w/ 1gb ram
Athlon X2 4200
True430 PSU
ATI AIW 9800 Pro 128

Also, one note. For reloading my OS I tried SYSPREP and REPAIR. Neither worked. I reloaded everything using Drive Image 7.0 and booted up the rig. Wouldn't you no of all things it worked.
