A8V Deluxe error with 2nd HD installed

Howdy

just built my new beast and im having this problem when installing a 2nd HD
my main is a WD 80 gig HD , and my 2nd im tiring to install is a maxtor ma98196h8 80 gig


everytime i try to install this drive , have tried the jumpers in more then one spot and none at all (currently tring none ) i get this error

<windows root> \system32\hal.dll. says i need to install this file

ok now the funny part is this only happens when i have a 2nd HD installed other then that the WD drive boots up fine

av8 deluxe
wd 80 gig hd
nec dvd r
1 gig corsair xms
ATI 9700 pro

problem HD maxtor 80 gig

any fingers pointed ni the right direction would be great i dont mind doing my own homework but im kinda at a stand still on this one

Wrong forum Junior. This is the Hot Deals forum. This is for Hot Deals only. Try the Tech support forum. If you keep posting in the wrong forum you may get some fingers pointed in your direction! Anyway, enough ranting. Have you tried google or Maxtor's web page?
 
Opps sorry about that mods please move thread or lock it , thats not my style to post in wrong forums

i have gone to maxtor and WD sites to check jumper settings
