Just wanted to voice my opinion on Asus's latest bios's for the a8v deluxe. One word-->SAD. I cannot believe this large and well respected company can deliver such inexcusable bios updates as 1011/1012 and now 1013 that do not "disable" 2T command rate properly. Was it overlooked? What is the deal with the mem multi's now? Why confuse the masses? pfft it's ridiculous. I have really enjoyed this board until now and look forward to trying some different manufacturers soon, especially DFI.

correct! Disable it in your bios then go look at either Sandra or Everest. Mine say 2CMD :(
EDIT* This is a known issue and might be fixed in the new 1014 beta bios *i hope*

Wow, I had no idea...hmm, that sucks. I've got a new A8V Deluxe that's sitting beside me while waiting for the X2 chip...I can't get in to check out anything without my CPU. I'm somewhat comforted by the fact I was going to fill all four DIMM slots eventually and that would drop the command rate to 2T anyway.

I got an A8V deluxe as well just sitting, waiting for an X2. I'm going to try with the bios it has first, but I have the 1013 already on a disk to flash it. Is the 1014 already released? I guess I'll find out soon enough, not like I'm getting the X2 that quickly.

1014.001 Beta is out on their website. Supposedly (from reading several forums--> this is just one of them-->http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47232) this "1T-2T issue" is fixed.

Actually, I'm only starting with 2GBs because I have two sticks of 1024MB each. When I'm done filling all my DIMM slots this motherboard is actually going to have 4GBs of RAM :Q

Since BIOS 1010 final, there seem to have no new one without any bugs. I am a bit disappointed with ASUS for supplying these bugged files. Either it is the 1T command ot some weird multi's.
I have tried 1011, 1012, 1013 and the new 1014.001 and the multi's are still all messed up, the 1T command works fine though on the new 1014.001.
Let's hope they will fix the multi with the nest issue for I want to change my Winchester for an X2.

I too am disappointed and amazed at ASUS's apparent inability to put out a bios that doesn't address prior issues or create new bugs. I am using 1012 on my a8v w/ 2 sticks of Patriot LL pc3200 1g and dealing with the lack of a 2T lock w/ the A64 tweaker. The difference in SS Sandra 2005 memory bandwidth between 1T and 2T for me is about 1000. :disgust:

Yes I understand that there will always be bugs and weirdness in any bios, but I really think if there is a check box that says "disable 2T command" it ought to be able to do that ! Otherwise remove it from the menu. :|

I have a 3200+ venice chip :frown:
