I have a 1 gig of Twinmos (2x512mb) PC3200 DDR400 with 2.5-3-3-8 200Mhz according to SPD settings in CPUz. But for the system to remain stable without random stop errors at 0x000008e, i have to reduce the memory ratio and have it run at 333 as 2.5-3-3-7. Has someone elese experenced this or am i doomed to run my system at a lower speed than its capacity? I dont want to overclock but i dont want to run the system at a lower spec than what i bought it for.
Also, in the AI overclocking, i have left it to auto, but i have a feeling that it tries to overclock. Im not too sure about manual settings, could someone recommend me default settings for the cpu and memory
Thanks

Sys Specs:
AMD64 3500+, ASUS A8V Bios1009, 1GB Ram, nVidia 6600GT, Audigy2, 500GB HDD+, Tagan 420watts

You put the RAM into the correct pair of sockets? Else you'd have them both on one channel, and then, the reduction to 333 would be a perfectly normal requirement.

Yes i put the ram in correct slot (blue) as per motherboard manual. And while booting the bios informs me that dual channel is enabled. I got rather disappointing reply from asus. Some dude from china wrote me saying why i put non recomended ram in the motherboard. And also all my board are belong to them hence i must do as website. --typical confucious mentality there.

I hate their mobos.
