I had read here a week or so ago about this motherboard detecting the timings incorrectly with this memory. Someone with this exact same setup said they visited Gskill's website and input the setings from there into their bios and it then worked fine. I have been over and over GSKILL's site and cannot find the settings spoken of. Anyone have this same mobo and memory combo and have this issue? Anyone know of the location on Gskill's site that may help me?

Thanks!

Are these settings for your OCZ DDR 500 memory? Will it be the same for the GSKILL DDR 500?

Thanks. Why did you make the switch to the OCZ 4000 plats?

I doubt it, seeing as all the timings relate to the RAM and not the mobo (and that jpeg is for our ram on g.skills website). Remember you are only concerned with the numbers in A64 tweaker. The CPUZ and other things are obviously different

Also, the A8N32 and A8R32 are very similar mobos, so if it worked for me, i assume it will work for you. Especially considering both mobos read the timings on the ram wrong, but the same incorrect numbers.

Bad assumption, totally different chipset; as well as A64 Tweaker doesn't work well with the RD580 chipsets, additionally alot of the A64 tweaker displayed settings aren't accessible in the A8R32 bios...

So I would be better off to stick with the timings you gave?

You're best to start testing and see what works for you and what you're trying to accomplish... The timings I suggested are conservative, safe, and should produce a stable/reliable system. If you are more interested in BenchMarking then start tweaking settings and testing with SuperPI, Everest, or whatever...

Yes definitely. I have an epox 9npa+ myself and briefly used the gskill pc4000 mem and I had no problems running 1T with 3-4-3-7 timings rock stable at 250mhz.... Not sure what your problem is.
