A8R32-MVP vs A8R-MVP: better crossfire performance?

I'm thinking of getting a dual X1900 system and I'm wondering if I should wait for the Asus A8R32-MVP motherboard rather than get the A8R-MVP now (Monarch currently has a $100 instant rebate on dual X1900 systems that expires 3/2). I'm not interested in overlocking, just crossfire performance, and the discussion of the A8R32-MVP seems to center mainly around its overclocking abilities. Is the dual x16 feature of the RD580 chipset really a strong advantage?
