Ok, so I try to run Asus Update. It wont even install. It says no Asus motherboard available. And when the update program does install, it wont work. How to I get this thing updated? thanks

Edit...It says this also...Please install Network Card and TCP/IP network driver first, otherwise ASUS Update can not work properly.

However, I do have a working cable connection.

Hey there,
I have this board though no longer using it. Anyhow I had a similar issue when I FIRST installed the asus auto update feature before actually installing my wireless nic and making sure I was online. From then on it was a royal pain.

A time after that I had installed WindowsXP and then got my full DSL connection going, had all firewall crap turned off and when it came to installing the Utility from the mobo CD, it went through without a hitch.

Anyhow listen you are not losing anything without that utility. You can still go to the Asus webpage and download the latest BIOS. That is the only thing that app was any good for and heck the latest BIOS for your board WILL NOT be picked up by that utility. I knew there was an update to our board as the Asus site stated so, but when I would use that app it would say no usable BIOS found.

I eventually just downloaded the BIOS directly and used the winflash or whatever utility.
