A8N-SLI with Zalman 7700cu/Thermalright XP-120 and Silverstone TJ06

I've been doing some pretty extensive googling to find out if the Zalman 7700cu would be compatable with an ASUS A8N-SLI and the Silverstone Windtunnel TJ06 and all I can come up with is that the A8N-SLI is compatable, but am worried that the windtunnel enclosure will not house the entire heatsink, or even fit.

Anyone care to chime in with this combo? How about the Thermalright XP-120? Again I know it will fit the board, but am worried about the "windtunnel" feature.

Thanks!

It's a bit of a risk, but I'm fairly sure you could fit either the 7700 or XP-120 without the plastic windtunnel enclosure. My XP-120 stays within the perimeter of my board by a couple of centimeters at the top. The 7700 is a little wider than the XP-120, so it may be a tight fit in that case as the mobo is oriented upside down.

erm...isnt the idea of that cases windtunnel that u dont need a fan on ur cpu cooler anymore? the zalmans usualy come with a fan...

as for the xp-120, its really huge, i have one and it wont fit in any of my cases due to this problem> pic > http://www.teschke.de/heatpipe...20-mainboard-kl-ss.jpg

mz advice look for the Dimensions for xp-120> 110 x 125 x 63mm (LxWxH) and try to find out if it fits in ur case.
7700cu: Dimensions: 136 x 136 x 67 mm
7000B alcu: Dimensions: 109 x 109 x 62 mm

Btw, concerning the Zalmans, there is no need to go for an 120mm Fan Version, as the 7000B with its 80 or 92 (not sure) is already absolutely silent, and only audible at maximum fan speed.

e: just read in a german forum, that the xp-120 would not fit in the tunnel >(

e> http://www.silentpcreview.com/article203-page5.html they using the NT01 Silverstone, but this will require 60mm fans, and i guess those wont be quiet anzmore.

PS> trz to google for the Noiseblocker Scraper, that should fit.

Good grief, that was scary looking piece of equipment. It's a good thing I haven't ran into one (so far) ;)

Thanks for all the replies! I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I opted for the Zalman 7000cu w/LED. Looks like this should fit without any problems.

I'm looking at installing a chipset cooler now, but it looks like the Thermalright I bought is going to interfere with the Arctic5 Coolers I am putting on both my video cards. Thanks again!
