So I'm just about to finish building my machine, and I come on to the boards here and see about a thousand different issues with the A8N-sli. I searched for a while, but never came up with one concise list of things to watch out for. First off - I'm not doing SLI yet but is the EZ selector card mis-labeled? Couldn't get to the bottom of that one. I feel confident with my PSU, although that seems to have been an issue for others. Anything to watch out for with SATA raid 0? Maybe this thread can help a8n newbs like myself. Much of this info is probably already on the board, but i've found it very hard to track down... Thank you!

When installing the nv chipset drivers from the Asus cd, uncheck the NV SW IDE drivers box. Leave these out of the mix. ;)

Nice, good to know. Also, from reading about another problem, it seems that if you're using the 1003-005 bios and you unplug your power supply, the board won't post. 1003-008 seems to run better for many (though it seems not all). Any final word on the EZ selector? It came set for dual on mine so i switched it to single - is that correct for non-sli or is it mislabeled?

Seems all boards shipped with the selector in the dual position, even though the manual states it shipped in the single position. Just place it in the single position, clear the cmos, and you guys should be ready to go.

Best build tip I can give you: take the strongest sedative possible that still allows you to function well enough to assemble the whole thing. That way when and if it goes wrong you wont get nearly as pissed off! I sure wish I had been loaded up when I built mine, because EVERYTHING went wrong.
