A8N-SLI standby oddity

I was putzing around last nite and exited Windows XP Pro via the "standby" route. It's normally something I dont do, cause I never use it. I've got my system stabley (so far) nicely overclocked to 240 fsb, 1/1 memory. Upon going into standby, the whole computer powered off, with the exception of the front power lite on the front of my case, which was blinking. I hit the spacebar and the computer powered back up right back to where I left off. Pretty cool I thought, a better way to power down with no bootup time!

This morning though, after powering back up after standby, I happened to check speedfan for cpu temps, and notice the cpu voltage had dropped from the 1.46 volts I had it set to in bios (another story), to the default 1.40 volts. Looking further, the fsb had also dropped from 240 to 197! How in the world would coming out of standby affect the fsb?

When I shut down normally and restart, the settings revert to where I put them. Go to standby, come back out, settings reduced.

part of the reason for using standby is that it reduces the power consumption of the computer (hard drives spin down, monitor turns off, etc.) I'm not familliar with everything it does, but it could be that it reduced the voltage going into your system, so your system was forced to lower the voltages, etc. Sound plazable <sp> ? Like I said, I'm not to familliar with what all standby does, so I'm not sure.
