So i've been doing fine with my setup for the last couple of months. Then tonight, I was moving some cables around in my rig for airflow- the computer was on. When I looked up, it said windows boot failure. Somehow it had rebooted while I was messing around with it.
I've got 3 IDE drives, and 1 SATA, which is the boot drive. The bios recognizes the SATA drive, but when I tell it to boot from there is says 'insert system disk'. So I use my Acronis boot disk. It doesn't see the SATA drive. I moved the SATA drive over to the Silicon SATA port, and then tried Acronis again. Now it sees the SATA drive, and the files that are on it (in two partitions). But again it won't let me boot from the SATA drive.
Has anyone else had problems with not being able to boot from the SATA drive? Any suggestions as to what I can do to get it back?
