i'm getting my board in a few days from newegg and am wondering something.

i'm guessing i'll probably have to do a Bios update and am not sure if this board has a windows based update or not?

If not, can someone please give me directions on how to do it by floppy/cd or link me to a site that has the step by step process....i don't want to screw anything up by flashing my board.

Oh and i've heard rumours that 4 sticks of 512 Ram does not work well with this board. I'm wondering if anyone has found this to be true or not? I have 4 sticks of Corsair Value Select 512 PC3200 ready to put into this board. Thanks for any info

got the same board and kinda same situation as you. best thing i can tell you is just build your rig, load your os and flash the BIOS using the Asus Utility to flash the BIOS. that is what i did due to not having a floppy drive. just go to the ausu site DL whever BIOS you want and and then start the utility. super easy. now which BIOS to use i cant tell you that. pretty much tried all of them. right now im using the beta 1010.011 or something like that. pretty much the same as the 1006-1009. i probably will be going back to the 1005 due to the fact that it lets me adjust the vcore to 1.55.

as for the 4 dimms of ram. got 4 512 corsair xmsc2pro's in. if i run everything at stock setting its all good. but as soon as i start to over clock the ram starting giving me a hard time.

hope this helps

thanks for the suggestions.

yeah...i don't plan to do any overclocking, so hopefully i won't have problems with the RAM.

Oh, i thought the CD that came with the MB has the flash utility on it? am i wrong?
