A8N-SLI (Non Deluxe Model) safeway to update bios

Hi ,

I bought 3 months ago an ASUS A8N-SLI (Non Deluxe Model) and it has bios 1001, and now I see in this boards that there is versions 1008, 1009 and even 1010 version of the bios, but with this LOTS of people who just made their mobos trash with a bad flash.

so i really want to update my mobo´s bios for one reason or another, but Im thinking this is really a risky thing.. Is there a safeway to update the bios of this mobo, or al least a safer way??
 
i have never heard of somebody making his board trash just because of bios update. Except very strange coincidence, when your fuse blow off while you are updating bios🙂
 
Just make sure you are using the latest version af awdflash (It's usually packaged with the bios).
Personally, I have been using Asus Update program with no problems whatsoever.
