I just reinstalled my os on new drive (maxtor dimondmax 10) without raid and am setting up my system again. I have a couple of questions...
1. In a previous setup I had issues with the NV firewall - could not autoupdate norton av and windows update. I always had to turn off the firewall to allow such connections (even when I check ok to allow access in the popup). I'm not sure i need this program if running on a lan with hardware firewall (netgear).
Do i need this firewall in the above setup?
2. What is the consensus on best bios? Currently running 1002 without signif issues (no OC)
3. Do i need to install the onboard sound features if using separate soundcard? The device manager has the yellow ( ! ) in regard to the onboard hardware
