A8N-SLI: HTT locked at 5x!!

I've had problems running my A8N-SLI over 233MHz FSB at 1T since I got it at Christmas, even with memory dividers. I was running out of ideas until I loaded up nTune and saw my HTT (LDT) speed was being reported at 1170MHz (5x) when I had set it in the BIOS to 4x. I then tried setting the HTT value in the BIOS to 1x and 3x - nTune reported that the HTT bus was still running at 5x. I loaded SiSoft Sandra and this reported the same thing:

I am running the 1004-001 beta bios. Does this happen to anyone else? How do I fix it? This could be the reason I cant overclock more even with a memory divider!

Good question. Maybe you can go back to 1003. I can't because my DiamondMax III works better with 1004.001.

You are right about the HTT multiplier - ASUS need to seriously get their act together on this. Just one thought, however, I see that you, like me, have Crucial Ballistix. Could it be that others, with different memory, are not getting this problem?

Well I flashed back to BIOS 1003 and the HTT adjustment actually works now. Not that it made any difference -it wasn't affecting my overclock after all. This is rapidly becoming one of the worst overclocking boards I have ever used and even at stock speeds it isn't rock stable. Asus need to sort this board out and soon.
