A8N-SLI: firewall and AV

Hello. Any advice greatly appreciated!
I have used older versions of these programs before (on my old PC) and been very happy with them. Especially ZA because of its easy prog config options and compatability with bittorrent. I have bought newer versions of these programs, and am using them successfuly on my older work laptop.
However, my new A8N-SLI system locked up badly trying to install ZA, despite disabling NVIDIA Firewall from Windows. And Kaspersky gave the following message after install.

"Error while loading Anti-Virus Protection driver (KLIF). We recommend that you reinstall the program."

What can I do? I'm nervous to use the bundled hardware firewall I know nothing about. And I don't want to use the bundled Norton because of its system drain and poor track record.
Any suggestions?

If I have to, I can live with the hardware firewall. But what about the AV?

Are you using windows SP2, if you are thats the problem. The programs you listed don't have driver support for SP2

For AV. use the Norton that Asus bundled with the board, it has Norton AV 2005 on it.

i have ZA (free version) installed with SP2 and have not seen any problems.

Anyone knpow which AVs are compatible with SP2? I had a bad childhood experience with Norton 😉 .
