A8N-SLI Deluxe "System failed VGA test"

I bought a refurb Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo from ChiefValue a while back but only got around to setting it up today with my new Opteron 146. I got it POSTing and then flashed the BIOS from version 1002 to 1014. Since then I get no video and the voice thing saying "System failed VGA test". I've tried a different video card (both PCI-E) but to no avail. I've reseated everything a 100 times, and cleared the CMOS, but it's still a corpse. Any ideas?
