A8N SLI Deluxe onboard sound issues

Hey

I have had two probs wif my Asus A8N SLI deluxe

the first was Posting issue which i finally fixed

The one im having now is random popping or crackling with the onboard sound

anyone else experiencing such difficulties???

I also get crackling sound in certain games.

Half Life 2 crackles every now and then

Unreal 2 crackles all the time

Doom 3 is fine

Far Cry is fine

UT2004 is fine

I dont get it...

I had the same issue. I made this build with mostly new parts but kept the speakers from the old computer. I fixed the crackling by taking out the rear in front in plugs and thouroughly cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol. In my case, the speaker plugs being dirty (not very noticable) prevented a clean interface. It's worth a shot.
