I had everything installed and working fine...until today.
I installed another gig of ram (bringing the total to 2gigs) and I also added a dvd-rom. When I started the compter, I would get a 1-2 second long beep than 1-2 sec of silence and the beeps along with the silence would repeat.
The only thing I can think of is that when I was added the second gig of ram, I may have pushed down too hard when installing it.
I tried clearing the CMOS, but when I restart the comp, I get the beeps and absolutely nothing shows up on screen. (btw, to clear the CMOS I removed the battery and switched the jumpers from the 1-2 pins to the 2-3 pins, just asking to make sure I did it correctly).
I've checked other forums and posts but nothing has worked yet.
Please, how do I fix this...also, did I screw up my motherboard?
