A8N-SLI Deluxe newb question

Question about setting SLI on A8N-sli deluxe:

SInce the new bios 1013 i have an option in bios for selecting single or dual cards.

Im planning on buying a second card and setting up sli and i was wondering how does this setting relate to the hardware switch-card on mobo?

Once i install second card i guess i need to switch the sli switch card from single to dual cards, but what about this bios setting? Does this bios means i wont have to open my case every time i want the gpu cards working in single mode (e.g. for compatibility reasons or such)

Some info or a link would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Setting it on dual cards in the BIOS makes your PCI-ex16 slot that your video card is in, into a PCI-ex8 slot. You won't see a difference though- but you should just keep it as single until you get another.
