A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard drivers not installing

I have an Alienware ALX system which has the Nforce4 A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard.

I am trying to upgrade the Nforce drivers since the dates on my driver files are as far back as August 2005.

I have downloaded the latest Nforce X16 drivers from nivida's website and ran the setup.
it stated that all the drivers were installed and asked me to restart.

however when I restart the machine and check the dates on the drivers in the Device Manager they show the same old drivers, indicating that nothing has been updated.

I see no entry to Remove the existing drivers in my Control Panel-->Add Remove Programs.

This Alienware system has dual 7800GT cards in SLI, but I am only getting 3800 3D2006 marks, I should be getting at least 6000 as a base value. So I'm trying to fix these issues.

Can someone help me?

Cheers

your installing the wrong drivers , u need to install regular amd nforce 4 drivers, you only have 2x 8pci xpress lanes, not 2x 16pci xpress
