A8N-SLI Deluxe. Bios update.-Fixed.

My system (the Ferrari rig) Just got finished. Particular parts of interest are these parts.

A8N-SLI Deluxe
Athlon64 X2 4400+
Windows XP 64bit
And the Absence of any IDE or Floppy devices.

My Mobo was purchased about 3 months before the X2 hit, and was not used till just now. The fact it doesn't have an X2 bios doesn't surprise me. It works fine as a Single core unkown hammer CPU. But when I try to install the Asus updater for 64bit windows it error out saying no Asus motherboard found. When I tried a an award flash (which may or may not be old since I had to find it since asus no longer provides a copy) It errored out with this is not an Award bios.

Anyone have any Idea on how I can get my bios updated. I don't have the 32bit XP handy and I am not sure that would solve the problem.

Hmmm.. Nobody has any ideas or even a guess.

Phoenix-award flash tool is available from Asus.

Click on BIOS. Version 1.09 is there.

Thanks, I was Eventually able to updateing it through the ALT-F2 bios update. I had forgotten about it, or at least didn't think it would work with my SATA only computer. I was Kind of Caught off guard by the fack it loaded it (for the root of the CD) without asking anything.
