nothing exciting as far as I can see. looks like they changed the default timings on the memory when compared to 1011.

as always, my asus update still doesn't work no matter how i flash it or what switches i use...

I'm really kinda freaked by hearing so many people saying their Asus Update isnt working after these last few BIOS releases. I used version 6.06.1 to update to 1010 final, and I think I'm staying put. I dont have a dual core proc yet, and dont see any obvious reason to update any further when there's a chance something might break running these newer versions.

To go off topic for a sec, this board has seen quite a few more BIOS updates than any previous Asus' I've owned. My A7N8X Deluxe got up to 1008 before Asus figured that was good enough. But each update on that board actually had some noticeable changes/updates. *shrug* </end of rant>

i'm going to try this out, i updated from 1008 to 1011 and now my HDD isn't recognized most of the time. sometimes it works, like right now. hopefully this may fix it.

i have a question, can anyone help me out with making a dos boot CD to go back to 1008? i have a floppy, but either i re-connected it wrong when i replaced the heatsink on the nforce4 chip, or it never worked as i've never used it. so yeah i need to be able to make a dos boot cd without a floppy, for some reason nero won't let me make one without using a boot floppy in the floppy drive. this is driving me mad. someone please help me =[

i got it, the Asus update has an option to go back to a previous bios. nevermind about trying the new bios, i'm going with "if it ain't broke"...(anymore) on this one.
