What is there to copy? If we are talking overclocking here there aint much in the A8n Bioses that is worth copying imo

How true.

I had heard that Asus' magical 1T over 250mhz issue would be fixed by BIOS 1007, maybe the final release is what theyre talking about...

damn.

I noticed that it sucks for overclocking. Wasn't able to acheive stable overclock as I was with 1004 final. Back to 1004 final for now.

Um, mine does have the SLI option.

I also have reached a higher overclock than with any earlier BIOS. I've been running at 250 HTT for a day now (1:1 divider and 1T). 244 was the highest I could go before.

Hi guys! Just found this thread and thought I might share a link to all A8N-SLI Deluxe BIOS revisions (this site hosts files so it won't matter if Asus decides to cut links to some revisions):

The Rebel Haven's ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard BIOS's page

Just so you'll know, I have tested 1007sd03 with a pair of Corsair 3200C2 and 1T still doesn't work in dual-channel :( though AI overclock does include higher values and I think that 216 limit is now 223. Still not a good overclocker though...

I just got the 1007-004 off of the Asus US FTP server. I'll try it later. I've found 1007-003 to be buggy and rather unstable.

Just remember that from any BIOS version beyond 1007-002 you should use either provided DOS flash utility (packed in ZIP file) or ASUSUpdate from version 6.03.01 upwards!

I have tested this (newest to this date) 1007-SD004 BIOS version and T1 timings are still not working properly. This version is quite different to previous beta .003 and enables for higher CPU/core voltage (up to 1.65V finally) and higher memory dividers. This should make this mobo even greater overclocker but still not quite as good a performer as it should be given 1T timings are working only with nominal memory speeds. When they solve this issue, as far as I'm concerned, a new official version can be released.

And not a day before that, dear ASUS, you own us at least that much!!!

To any o/c still stuck with this mobo, please post your successes with newest BIOS revision,

Best, MyK

You guys are talking about a 1:1 divider at 1T for your RAM at frequencies over 240 MHz, right? 1T settings work fine for me as long as I use a divider.
