A8N-SLI Dead on arrival ??

Just put everything together. see sig..

I don't get any video or beeps. Everything powers on..

I have the video card in the blue slot & the memory in the 2 blue slots.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Make sure the SLI selector card is properly seated in the single card position. This thing is real picky, and it usually comes in the dual position.

Plug some speakers into the green jack on the mobo sound riser, and see if you get any post message like "system failed CPU test" or "System failed VGA test"

It came w/ the SLI selector in the single position. I contacted asus tech sup. had me take the board out of the case w/ only the cpu installed. Get nothing on the post audio message.

I'm going to my bro's to check my processor in his system. I have a feeling it's the mobo.. Will try to reseat the SLI selector.

Well the fact that you don't get any audio post message, its either CPU or mobo. You are correct in testing the CPU, if thats good then its definately a DOA mobo.

Just tested my cpu in my brother's DFI mobo. It posted fine..

Also talked to ZZF about the rma. It will be about 10 days w/out a mobo.. They also have a no refund policy on the mobo.. I should have kept the Chaintech mobo..

I'm going to dispute this w/ my cc company. I paid for a working motherboard..

BTW The mobo was a rev. 1.02 , is this what's currently shipping ?
