I changed out that sketchy stock chipset fan on my A8N-SLI last night for the Zalman NB47J. Installation was pretty easy, except for removing the stock fan, a bit dodgy getting those push pins to come back out. I also swapped out the stock cooler on my eVGA 6600GT for the Zalman V700F. Now my machine is oh-so-much more quiet, my hard drive is almost the loudest part
Now that I don't have a fan plugged into the chipset fan jack on the MB, the system reports an error when I boot it up. It says it cannot detect the chipset fan or fan speed too low, says you can disable that check in the BIOS, and lets you hit F1 to continue anyway.
I can't find anything in the BIOS settings that will let me change this function, there are only settings for the CPU and CHA1 fan speed checks. I've searched through the manual and on this forum for an answer, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone else have the same issue?
