A8N SLI Chip set fan, slowing down.

So I have had my comp for about 2 weeks, and my chipset fan has dropped to 0 rpm's 3 times in that span. The latest one happened today and it now runs at 6750 on average. I'm wondering if I should jsut return the mobo, get a new chipset heatsink/fan, or just stick it out with the new speed?

Yeah I saw the one about the Zalman one...I think I may it's 19.99 at a local store so I think I may pick one up. Anyone else want to chime in?

Have you activated the quiet fan mode. You may want to look at the settings for fan control and voltage if your MOBO supports them. On my MSI RS480, I had to set the voltages [0-3F] and the temps I wanted to run as
High,Med, Low
45,37,30
3F,37,2f

Yes my A64-3200 (939) runs at 35 to 40 due to the massive TT Fanless 103 Heatpipe, your temps may be diff.

This just started happening to me too. Sometimes the chipset fan just stops, tapping it seems to make it go again for a bit. Just getting clogged up? Haven't gotten around to lubing it.

Unfortunate it happened so quickly.

I put a Zalman heatsink on my chipset and I have a fan blowing on it and It is a lot better than the small chipset fan they have with the board.
