Problem:
My current power supply (Fortran Blue Storm 500) 12v rail dips to 11.712 and I plan on upgradeing my 6600 GT with 2x 6800 GTs and the following, see below.
"The plan":
1x A8N OC'ed as far as it will go
1x Amd 3000+ .90 OC'ed as far as it will go
2x CMX512-4400C25 512MB OC'ed as far as they will go
2x 6800 GT's OC'ed (only thing I'll be adding)
1x IDE hard drive
1x Optical drives
3x 120mm low rpm fans
1x Floppy
Things that I NEED in my new power supply:
- As silent as possable (at given loads)
- Enough juice to meet "The plan"
Picky things that I would LIKE in my new power supply:
- 120mm fan (I like the sound signature of 120mm fans)
- Automatic fan speeds
- Adjustable fan speeds
- High efficiency % (at given loads)
- Large unobstructed surface area for air flow, the bigger the holes the better.
- Wattage readings (so very cool)
- "Honken" big heat sinks
- 6pin plugs
Picky things that would rather avoid:
- Big nobs or other obstructions in the fan or air flows path
- Dinky heatsinks
- Higher pitched fan sound
- Large amounts of LED lighting escapeing from the back (inside is ok)
I'm guessing there isn't a perfect one for me out there but, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I've made a poll of the ones I'm thinking of, let me know what you people think.
Many thanks in advanced.
