Hello.

I have ordered, and will be getting soon, my new PC which in brief consists of :

a8n-e
3700+ san diego
ocz platinum rev 2 1gb ram

and for my HDs

seagate baracuda 200gb and a 74gb raptor

Aside from flashing the bios to the latest beta 1004. What other drivers will I need? I heard I may have to provide sata drivers on a floppy disk for XP 64-bit to recognize my sata drives. Is this true? If so could anyone be so kind to tell me where I can download the needed drivers and what version I'm looking for.

Also will I need a disk controller? Will I need to update my chipset drivers as well? I'm a bit confused about all this. And a bit noobish too obviously. I'd love for a pro to help me out and tell me exactly what I need.

And yes I really want to use XP 64-bit

thanks in advance

1 if your mobo is any good it shoudlnt be a problem with the sata drive ( those raptors give alot of trouble however)
2 windows xp 64 your wasting your time, 3/4 of stuff u wanan use wont work properly and since your a nooby id suggest staying far away from it, youll only give your self headache for maby 3% improvment in performance.

You will not need any drivers to install XP64 on the A8N-E SATA.
